“Paradise is where I am,” Voltaire.

What is being wabi sabi?

Being true to ourselves and happy with who we are. Trusting our intuition and making time for and enjoying what is most important to us in life.

Expressing our deepest feelings and what is truly in our hearts and living in alignment with our values.

Stripping away all that is unnecessary or superfluous and valuing natural simplicity rather than manufactured, contrived perfection.

Enjoying a simple life without indulging in excess or extremes and letting go of things driven by status, power or material wealth.

Being flexible and open to life’s riches rather than living a lifestyle limited by rigid structures and set ‘ways of being’.

Slowing down, being patient and serene and loving people and things the way they are.

'The Little Wabi Sabi Companion' presents a collection of reflections, classic poetry, and verse, giving inspirational ideas on capturing the wabi sabi moment.
